Maltego offers three types of plans that cater to individual investigators, small teams, and large organizations: Maltego Basic, Maltego Entry, Maltego Professional, and Maltego Enterprise.
Each plan equips your teams with the investigative capabilities and essential data based on your needs and budgets.
What is included in the Maltego Enterprise plan?
The Maltego Enterprise plan is designed for large teams of 5 or more users and organizations.
Maltego Enterprise plans offer flexible options for every team to choose what fits your team's needs: with Graph, Search, and Hunchly always included, and Monitor or Evidence available as main plan options.
Through the Maltego Enterprise plan, you can equip your team with all or some of the tools listed below:
- Maltego One: a web platform that brings together Maltego’s investigation and admin tools in the browser. It includes:
- Maltego Graph (Browser): A browser-based product for deeper person of interest investigations.
- Maltego Search: A browser-based product for quick OSINT searches.
- Maltego Cases: A web application for storing, collecting, and collaborating on investigations in one place.
- Maltego Admin: A web application for managing user access and credit allocation .
- Maltego Data: Out-of-the-box access to a wide collection of relevant data with 250,000 credits/month and 100+ pre-built Connectors to third-party data. The specific number of credits depends on the variation of the Professional plan you choose.
- Maltego Graph (Desktop): unlimited access to the data link analysis and visualization tool to uncover hidden connections and patterns in large-scale investigations.
- Maltego Monitor: browser-based real-time social media monitoring for public safety and company protection.
- Maltego Evidence: deep analysis of first-hand social media data across multiple networks and local storage of original social media evidence.
- Hunchly: A browser extension used to capture, organize, and preserve information from online research, safely, quickly, and easily.
- Maltego Academy with live training and on-demand courses.
- Personalized training sessions with Maltego experts and a dedicated Account Manager for your needs.
Maltego One is included in all of the Enterprise plans with varying number of Maltego Data Credits.

The Maltego Professional plan available for purchase through the webshop allows small teams of investigators to quickly conduct and collaborate on OSINT investigations as well as mass data link analysis across browsers and devices.

- Maltego Academy with on-demand and live training.

What is the Maltego Basic plan?
The Maltego Basic plan is substituting the plan previously known as the Maltego Community Edition free-tier plan. The Basic plan stays free for all users with a few important updates.
Maltego Basic users now have:
- Maltego Graph (Browser): A browser-based product for deeper person of interest investigations.
- Maltego Graph (Desktop): up to 24 results per Transform run and no limitations on the number of Entities that can be pasted to the graph;
- Maltego Data: 200 Maltego credits/month with a limited access to data providers within the Data Pass and Connectors to external data;
- Maltego Academy with on-demand and live training.
Register with an official government or organizational email to be considered for a free upgrade to the Basic+ plan that includes Maltego Search and a larger number of Data Credits.What are the Maltego Pro, Organization and Enterprise On-premise plans?
The Maltego Pro, Maltego Organization, and Maltego Enterprise On-premise plans are part of Maltego’s previous offering, also known as legacy plans.
As of May 2024, they are no longer available for purchase.
For small teams of professional investigators, we now offer the Professional plan, which allows more powerful investigative capabilities and out-of-the-box access to powerful data sources. Learn more about the Maltego Professional plan here or purchase it directly from the webshop.
For large enterprise teams and government agencies, we now offer the Maltego Enterprise plan, which includes vastly more investigative capabilities across devices and browsers, and across the digital and physical landscapes. What is Maltego Classic or XL?
Maltego Classic and XL are previous commercial license editions of Maltego, which differed in the size of investigations that were possible in each edition.
Since 2020, Maltego Classic and Maltego XL are no longer available for purchase and cannot be renewed.
If you are an existing Maltego Classic or XL user, you can continue to use your license key without interruption until the end of your subscription. Maltego might reach out to you and ask you to switch to a new plan. At the latest, you will be asked upon renewal to switch to one of our plans in order to continue using the Maltego Graph products commercially.

Can I renew my Maltego Classic or Maltego XL subscriptions?
Once your renewal period is reached, you will be asked to switch to one of our plans to continue using Maltego products commercially. Your Maltego Classic and XL license subscriptions will not be renewed.
What happens to Maltego CaseFile?
CaseFile will remain available to users running Maltego version 4.7.0 and earlier. These users may continue to use the CaseFile tool to visualize connections in their offline data.
Following the release of Maltego Graph version 4.8.0, CaseFile will no longer be available as a separate product, however, CaseFile users can continue to benefit from the offline data analysis features under a Community Edition license.
CaseFile users who have updated to version 4.8.0 can create a Maltego ID account and log in for free as Basic plan users, gaining access to Maltego Graph which includes previously available Casefile features for offline data analysis. Make sure to install the "CaseFile Entities" Hub item from the Maltego Data Hub.
