Overview
The Maltego Data Hub provides access to over 120 Data Providers with over 12,000 search methods into Cyber Threat Intelligence, Social Media, Dark Web, Crypto, Breach, Corporate, and more Data Sources, as well as integration of internal data into Maltego’s normalized data ontology.
Maltego CE is free, and available to all users. For CE users, Maltego is launching a new credit system through what we call a “Data Pass”.
Use your own keys via the offered Connectors or benefit from Maltego’s Data Pass to leverage more data in your investigations out of the box.
What is included in Maltego Community Edition (CE) for version 4.8.0?
- Maltego Graph: Link analysis software – limited to 12 results per Transform.
- Maltego Connectors: Limited Connectors to external data.
- Maltego Academy: On-demand and live training to learn how to use Maltego in your investigations.
Additionally, through Maltego version 4.8.0, Maltego CE users can expect a few changes such as Maltego Data Pass.
Maltego Data Pass is a new Credit System which allows Maltego CE users to spend a free allowance of 200 Credits flexibly on any of the data integrations included in CE.
Note: Previously imposed restrictions for CE users have been lifted: CE users are now able to paste more than 50 Entities on a canvas and run Transforms on more than 50 Entities.

Maltego’s Data Hub facilitates access to all the data relevant for your investigations.
Through Data Pass, Maltego users can leverage a diverse and growing set of pre-installed Hub items or “Data Pass Modules” to access data for all kinds of investigations, from person of interest to threat intelligence to insider threat, dark web and corporate intelligence and more.

Through your (free) Community Edition (CE) account, you and your team can access multiple data types from multiple data vendors.
How much data do I get?
Your Maltego account provides you with access to a Credit Allowance that enables you to access and query out-of-the-box data in the Maltego platform. Based on the size and specificity of your data query, varying credits will be consumed.

Maltego CE users benefit from a selected range of data sources offered under the Maltego Data Pass model.

Darkweb
Identify and trace illicit activities more effectively by accessing valuable information on hidden marketplaces, forums, and anonymized communications. Corporate Intelligence
Identify and evaluate corporate connections more effectively by accessing valuable information on company structures, key personnel, and financial health. Utilities
Set of Transforms that help different types of investigations. It includes various tools often used via browser such as reverse image search and image analysis, text translation and analysis, web search and many more. Many of the former “Maltego Standard Transforms” can now be found within the utilities offering.
Connectors for Maltego Community Edition (CE) 4.8.0 Users
Maltego CE users may leverage pre-built Maltego Connectors to visualize data from sources for which they have purchased an API key, allowing users investigative reach beyond the comprehensive Maltego Data Pass through access to over 100+ pre-built Connectors.
Note: Maltego CE (free-tier) users are afforded access to Connectors in line with the restrictions relevant to their plan.
