Starting a new case

Creating a new case in the Case monitor can be a challenge, especially when it’s not obvious where to start. That is why Maltego Monitor (previously PublicSonar) supports you step by step by translating your search request into a case. 

 

1. Start by opening the Case monitor and choose + Create Case


 

2. Choose the type of topic you want to monitor: Incident, Event, Area, or Theme. Choose in which language you want to collect messages. After that, press Start


 

3. The next steps depend on the type of case you have selected. Answer the questions in each step as best as you can. For each step, there is a tooltip that explains the question in more detail. 


 

4. The last step in every type of case, is the name and how long the case should remain active. Move the slider to change how long the case should remain active. You can always update or disable this period when the case is created.
